JAS — Sociology in Vietnam

So, for my sins, I have perpetrated a volume on sociology in Vietnam. Or well, rather, the colleagues I am really lucky to have landed up with have prepared the content, all I did was put it together and snuff out a few typos. This was the second volume of essays to come out of the ISSH2019 conference organised at TDTU in October last year (the next one is dueDec 2021 maybe). This volume was the most satisfying to put together, not only because it was not the keynotes and because I have pretty easy access to everyone in our open plan office area, ut also just for enthusiasm and camaraderie — hands clasped ‘stronger together’. Now, for sure we have not sifted through even the first few grains of the huge sand dunes worth of sociological interest in Vietnam, but its a widely representative and wildly diverse volume I think.
